On a recent trip to Utah, I took a side road called Hell's Backbone Road. It is a beautiful, scenic road, but its 30 miles of washboard! It took a little over 2 hours (20 mph!! if you go faster you WILL fishtail!) I did it in my jeep, but a car an make it. It is a maintained gravel/dirt road. Be sure to check at the visitor's center if the road is open. It closes for snow AND rain.
I just couldn't help to post the pix with the funny names!!
