Hey all you skeleton and zombie Mother Fuckers! Wake the fuck up! Its time to be dead again! The season is upon us !!!!

Here's a run down of the coming season.

April 18/19 in Vacaville, CA, the Vacaville Fantasy Festival (next weekend!) . I wish I could be at this one, I miss it every year cuz of life stuff and this year again, I'm missing it. I'm bummed. I'll get there eventually! You guys who ARE going will put on a great show and save the village once again!

Then, our seasonal pre-game show to Valhalla happens at Cain's crossing which is fast approaching come May 9/10 in Auburn, California. I'll be there as my season-opener. It is our first true, Renaissance Farie and we are English villagers.

Then Valhalla itself, one of the best shows on our circuit! You sooooo don't want to miss this faire. May 30/31 and June 6/7 up at Camp Richardson in South Lake Tahoe! We're right between the mountains and the sapphire lake amidst an emerald green pine forest! Its a wonderful faire!

After Valhalla, there is an unofficial gig, The NorCal Pirate Festival ~ www.norcalpiratefestival.com/ ~ June 20/21, where some dead have been gathering a little more every year as a sort of Voodoo, zombie-skelety exotic, almost tropical looking jungle procession of zombie skeletons who jam to drums!!! I think I might try and get in on that this year. Edward, Isaac, Peter and some others were doing it last year. Who wants to get dead at the Pirate Festival? If so, remember, you have to kinda redo yourself to fit more into the tropical Carribean pirate world, less the Renaissance. If you're going to do it, do it right and make our name, The Danse Macabre, a respected one.

Next, comes Faire Oakes Faire in the eastern Sacramento Area where they are installing Massive Air Conditioners this year.............

Really? Did you believe that for like a second, you putzs!

The next gig is about 4 weeks later on July 18/19 and I am here to DECLARE! I don't care that we're not officially there anymore, all you dead who're willing, SHOW THE FUCK UP TO SLO AND LETS DANSE THE DEAD THERE ONCE AGAIN!

San Louis Obisbo ( SLO ) / Morrow Bay - July 18/19 - The Central Coast Renaissance Faire.

I've been in touch with some board members who're telling me that we need to apply again, that there is a new generation of boardmembership coming in and they'd love to have us back! We need to be at SLO again! You remember what Maggie Kuhn said......

Regardless, I go to SLO every year! Its a great faire. I'm always there!

SLO is our only potential gig in July, at least that I'm aware of. After that comes August.

August 1/2 is Willits Faire and its a fun one with some fun night life for being such a small faire. If you've not made it up there, you should go. The drive up 101 through the coastal ranges is wonderful and its a cute little town thats very friendly to us.

Then at the end of August, on August 29/30, is Golden Gate Faire, a wonderful gig as far as I'm concerned and a pretty large procession for us too, usually. We seem to do some pretty prosperous, passive recruiting there. A number of new members have joined us at that faire.

Also during that time - the weekends of August 22/23, and 29/30 (GG Faire wknd.), and Sept. 5/6 are Casa de Fruita workshop, set-up the village weekends! If I were you, I'd try to be at everyone of them..... AHEM.... except maybe Aug. 29/30AHEM!............ anyway, no, wait, uh...... also perhaps Sept. 5/6 too as one may find themselves up on the Playa at this time, at Burning ManAHEM!!!!!! .............these weekends are, if you can make them, a true bonding time for the ensamble cast that puts this show on and by that I mean all the guilds, not just us folk who're the dead amognst ourselves, but us amongst the other casts outthere, the other guilds. We're all putting on that show as an ensamble and we need to know and work with each other.

Then the actual show dates for Casa de Fruita: September 12/13, 19/20, 26/27, October 3/4, 10/11, and close 17/18.

And this is just a thought, but all the cool kids at Casa host a party at some point or another... and we dead, we're pretty fuck'en cool! We should have a Morgue Party, a "Party at the Morgue" of some sort with perhaps a theme of sexy zombies or something! A Sexy Zombie party! I kinda like the sound of that! Or it could be a "Goodlooking Dead Party" Call it a: "It's Good To Be Dead!" party!!! "The Night of the Living Dead" Perhaps we could organize a zombie striptease/burlesque show or something! Ooh, and the person who could lose body parts as part of their routine could get extra creativity points!!! Shit! We need a stage!

Then, in theory, as we are a cast at Casa and really a great team for all of about 8 weeks or so, WE SHOULD ORGANIZE A CAST PARTY DAMMIT! We never do that... we just kinda drift away into Dickens season. We're dead, I get that we just drift away. But people, we need to party as a team. Someone out there should start thinking about where and how we can have a cast party after Casa (some time in November on a Saturday night during Dickens Workshop weekends)

11/2 is, I believe the date of another unofficial gig, the San Francsico parade for the Dios de la Muertos, that evening in Doloras Park, I think? Someone else may have to chime in on this one. It is a gig you don't want to miss! You will not believe the energy there and ALL THE DRUMSSSSSS! Its soooo good! We dance our asses off and play and the coolest part is all the other THOUSANDS of participants look just like us!!! Its so cool! You got to come and try this gig if you have never done it! I'll be there for sure!

Then its off to Victorian England and the streets of Dicken's London for the Dickens Christmas Faire where a number of us castmembers including Donnie, Ted, Susan, myself, Duane, Hanna, the Hobbits, and many others who's names are escaping me now play in a different place and time but with all the same folks of the Ren Faire who cross over and thats in the hundreds! Another show you should come do if you've never done it!

Then we hibernate until the Sonora Celtic Festival of March - 2010.

Thats all for now folks... your friendly neighborhood, Headbone! ~Kurt
